As the daughter of a fireman, I spent countless holidays and weekday afternoons at the fire station, hanging out with "the guys." Even though the firehouse was filled with the sounds of football games and the smell of burgers, the men underneath all that gear were actually softies.
Especially when it comes to their kids. I remember painting my dad's fingernails and putting blush on his cheeks -- even in front of his crew -- and walking alongside the trucks practicing my pageant walk before the big day. Even in uniform, my strong, fearless father was never too big-and-bad to play dress-up or Barbies with his girl.
That's why this video pulls at my heartstrings so much -- no matter how tough a dad is, there's often nothing he won't do to make his daughter smile.
