'Ally McBeal'

On the long-running TV show starring Calista Flockhart, the pint-sized actress played the 5-year-old flashback version of the leading lady in a 2000 episode of the Fox dramedy. While the Georgia native also played a young Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen Show in 2001, Fanning (who started acting in commercials) got a taste for gritty drama early on. "ER was one of my favorites," she said of a 2000 guest appearance on the NBC medical series. "I played a car accident victim who has leukemia. I got to wear a neck brace and nose tubes for the two days I worked."
