The all-star season of Dancing with the Stars continues to narrow down its best-of-the-best competitors.
After Tuesday night's slate of performances (led by Sabrina Bryan and her partner Louis Van Amstel with their 26 points), the two couples with the worst scores were Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas, who scored only 18 points for their Western-themed quickstep, and Kirstie Alley and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who received 21 points for their jive -- an improvement over their first-week showing.
In a surprise twist, however, neither dancing duo was in the bottom three after the audience votes were taken into consideration for the combined score on results night.
Instead, the three couples in jeopardy were Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy; Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson; and Helio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower.
The second all-star to be booted out of the ballroom: Fatone and Johnson, whose technically imperfect but "fun" performance wasn't enough to keep them in the running for season 15's mirror ball trophy.
"I'll miss everybody out here. Everybody was great. I had a great time," Fatone, 35, said. "For me, I'm actually going to a wedding tomorrow, so I don't give a damn! I'm going to have a good time."
Addressing his partner, Joey said: "I didn't let you down. We had a great time. People said I was fun, and that's all that matters."
But Johnson was still disappointed they had been voted off so soon into the competition. "I'm sad," Johnson said. "I'm not going to lie."
Next week, there's a double elimination, so two couples will be sent home!
