The Dancing with the Stars all-star season has yet to air, but the competitive feelings have already begun for many of the contestants. Just ask dancing pro Kym Johnson, who says she and partner Joey Fatone have one particular goal.
The duo has their sights set on beating the star who defeated them.
"We were on season 4, and we were second. Apolo [Ohno] beat us, and he's on this season as well, so we're going to try and get over him first of all," Johnson told People at the Los Angeles premiere of The Words.
Unlike in previous seasons, Johnson and Fatone face a field of former champions, runners-up and fan favorites, so the mirror ball could be anyone's for the taking.
"Everyone is going to be incredible," says the Australian dancer, 36. "It could be anyone's [to win] and anyone could go home first. It's going to be an unpredictable season."
Johnson and Fatone, 35, aren't letting the fierce competition get to them, she says. They're practicing hard to last as long as the audience will have them.
"It's going to be an intense season, but we're definitely enjoying it," said the Dancing pro. "We just don't want to get kicked off first, and then we'll take it week by week."
Dancing with the Stars season 15 debuts on ABC Monday night, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. ET.
