Dancing with the Stars is back with rock week! With classic '70s rockers KISS on hand to provide the party mood, the 10 remaining contestants tried their best to impress America and the judges with their rock moves.
One couple that rose to the occasion was NFL player Donald Driver and his partner Peta Murgatroyd, who delivered a stand-out paso doble to Jimi Hendrix's iconic "Purple Haze."
"Muscular, masculine, magnificent!" gushed judge Bruno Tonioli.
"What the heck?" asked Carrie Ann Inaba. "Psychedelic, bizarre, sexy, raunchy, hot. One of the most memorable moments. Spectacular, wow!"
The sexy dance earned a 27, the night's highest score, followed by the two 26-point performances by Disney star Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower, who put on a "cute" waltz and Maria Menounos and Derek Hough, who did a beautiful tango that Tonioli praised for being filled with "attitude and sex appeal."
For the first week since the competition started, Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff finished out of the bottom of the leaderboard with a respectable, middle of the road 23 to "Paint It Black."
But it's Melissa Gilbert who made the news after her dance with Maks Chmerkovskiy. The former Little House on the Prairie star had to be rushed to the hospital after her performance. "She injured herself," host Tom Bergeron announced on the air, "and as a precaution she's gone to the hospital to get checked out."
There was no word about the extent of her injury, but Gilbert did blog before the show that "this week of Dancing has been a killer."
