Does Daniel Craig Not Want Kristen Stewart as a Bond Girl?

The Skyfall star cheekily tells an Australian radio show that he wouldn't want the actress in his films because of her Twilight connection

Kristen Stewart might have expressed interest in one day being a Bond girl, but that likely won't happen as long as leading man Daniel Craig has his say about it. Well, sort of.

Craig was asked recently by the Australian morning radio show Kyle and Jackie O Show if he'd like to have Stewart, 22, play a Bond girl one day, and his response was hilarious. It seems as though Craig, 44, feels as though Stewart's status as the Twilight leading lady isn't quite to his liking.

"No," Craig answers the two hosts with faux repulsion. "She's in Twilight."

It became clear that Craig was kidding (maybe), and he quickly tempered that statement with another kinder one. "I'm being nasty," he said. I'm only saying that because (Breaking Dawn -- Part 2) is coming out this weekend so we're in direct competition with them. I'm sure she'd make a great Bond girl."

Craig has been given the unofficial job of determining which popular female celebrities would be a good fit for the 007 series while he's traveled around promoting Skyfall. He recently told Global Grind that he thinks Rihanna would make a better Bond girl than Beyonce because "she's dirtier."
