Daryl Hannah Arrested at Protest

Daryl Hannah was arrested Tuesday for blocking traffic on a major highway in West Virginia. The environmental activist, along with 30 other people, formed a sit-in to protest mountaintop coal mining, which involves blasting the peaks off the mountains to get at the deposits inside.
Police showed up and removed the protesters from the area outside the coal processing plant. Everyone there was cited for impeding traffic and obstructing an officer, and then released.
"It's not necessary," Daryl said of the coal mining. "If you do it wisely, there are ways to use renewables. It's realistic for everybody."
This is what the Kill Bill star does -- in 2006 she was arrested for protesting the bulldozing of a farm.
It's kind of funny. Admirable, but funny.
