After spilling all the dirty details of his recent (and shocking) split from Courteney Cox on Howard Stern's radio show Tuesday, David Arquette is feeling a bit of remorse.
"I went on Howard Stern yesterday to provide clarity and honesty about what I'm experiencing," Arquette, 39, twittered Wednesday. "But while doing that I shared too much… It's alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled."
Revealing to the world that he and his wife of 11 years hadn't had sex in four months, that he had recently slept with another woman and stating that Cox didn't want to mother him anymore, Arquette took it upon himself to air the couple's dirty laundry.
Sources say Cox wasn't surprised by her husband's big mouth and, though he says he's sorry for the TMI interview, Arquette hopes both parties will learn from this rough patch.
"I'm sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people from what we've learned," he wrote. "Thank you for all your Love and support at this time. I'm trying figuring out how to be the best person I can be."
Hopefully Arquette will realize that oversharing -- and then oversharing some more by twittering about it -- isn't the way to go.
