Hey, haters -- David Beckham doesn't need a butt-double, and he definitely doesn't need one when he's modeling his own underwear line. Despite reports to the contrary, Beckham has confirmed that fans are seeing his behind when they watch his H&M underwear commercial.
"I can say the crotch is mine and the backside is mine as well," the 37-year-old tells French television show Le Grand Journal, reports E! News. "I heard this the other day. Someone said that I had a stand-in for my bum, but no, I can confirm that's my bum."
Well that's a relief. There we were thinking there's some backside out there that is actually a suitable stand-in for David Beckham's rear. The butt-double speculation all started when a representative for H&M stated that the soccer hadn't done all of his own stunts in the Guy Ritchie-directed commercial.
"David was very involved in the advert including doing most of the stunts," the rep said. "Due to his tight schedule a body double was used in smaller parts of the video."
Beckham also confirmed that a double was used, tweeting, "I did pretty much all my own stunts, was good fun //Beckham."
So in what parts of the video was a double used, if not the bum shots? We've decided to let that mystery rest, and just savor this ad in all its glory.
