David Beckham Sues Tabloid Over Hooker Story

The footballer is taking legal action over a story claiming he cheated on Victoria with a high-priced call girl

David Beckham isn't messing around! The soccer stud has gone through with his threat to take legal action against the tabloid that published a story claiming that he engaged in multiple sex acts with some high-priced hookers.

In the suit filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Beckham accuses In Touch Weekly of libel, slander and intentionally causing emotional distress. The prostitute in question, Irma Nici, 26, was also named in the suit, as she reportedly claimed that she had an ongoing affair with Beckham in 2007 -- and that they even brought in another call girl to add to the fun.

Beckham and his wife of 11 years, Victoria Beckham, have kept a united front since the cheating story broke last week. "The allegations that have been made are completely untrue and totally ridiculous as the magazine was clearly told before publication," they told the press. "Sadly, we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it."
