David Boreanaz obviously believes in silver linings.
The Bones star, who has admitted to cheating on his wife Jaime Bergman with Rachel Uchitel (aka Tiger Woods' mistress) in May 2010, tells TV Week that his infidelity has ultimately strengthened his marriage, Us reports.
"In a sacred ground like marriage, you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive," the actor explains. "There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you."
Boreanaz, 42, says that surviving those "demons" (adultery) with his wife, a former Playboy model he married in November 2001, has been "a bonding experience, in the long run."
In any committed relationship, Boreanaz adds, there are "fantastic" moments and "extremely rocky" moments, and he and Bergman have had their share of both in their nearly 10 years of marriage. The couple has two children: son Jaden, 9, and daughter Bella, 2.
"Do I believe in giving up?" Boreanaz says. "No, I don't. I'm a fighter. I'm a lover."
