David Carradine has passed away.
The actor, best known for his roles as Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s TV series Kung Fu and Bill in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill was 72. He was found in his hotel room in Bangkok -- where he was on location filming a movie -- though reports on who found him are mixed. Chuck Binder, David's manager, told Fox News that a movie producer uncovered David in his hotel room. An Asian paper, however, said a hotel maid found David after he failed to show up to a Wednesday night dinner with cast mates.
Here's where it gets really sticky. While Binder has publicly voiced his belief that David died of natural causes, The Huffington Post revealed portions of the contradicting Asian newspaper article. The piece cites Thai police as believing the star committed suicide. These officers, who were called to the scene after his body was found, claim David hanged himself in his hotel room's closet.
So sad. For his family's sake, we hope these rumors get sorted out soon.
