When Regis Philbin makes his return to TV this Thursday, his first guest will be his old pal and fellow heart bypass survivor, David Letterman.
Everyone knows Dave does not really like doing other people's shows and is pretty much averse to most appearances outside his own talk show, so this is going to be really touching and awesome, I imagine.
Regis filled in as a guest co-host for Dave a number of times including when he had his own heart bypass surgery in 2000 and again when Dave had an eye infection in 2003.
Regis has been off his show for about six weeks. Thank God he's coming back because I watch it every morning and that Kelly Ripa thinks she runs the joint. Reege needs to come back and show her who's the real boss!
