Tori Spelling's hubby is proud to be an American! Dean McDermott was sworn in as a U.S. citizen on Friday, along with 3,000 others, in Los Angeles. The reality star, born in Toronto, Canada, gushed to UsMagazine.com about the experience, calling it "amazing."
"I was so proud and overwhelmed all at the same time," the actor said. "To take my oath and pledge allegiance beneath a giant American flag is something I will never forget. It was a very special and important day."
Spelling was on hand as her other half got his stars and stripes. After, the Home Sweet Hollywood stars celebrated McDermott's new citizenship by, ironically, running for the border.
"I'm so proud that I was able to be by Dean's side...He's wanted this for so long," she said. "We stopped for lunch after at Taco Bell and he said 'This is my first taco as an American citizen!' So cute!"
