Once again, Debra Messing has linked up with a guy named Will! The former Will & Grace star, who only recently announced that she was separated from husband Daniel Zelman, is reportedly dating actor Will Chase, her costar on the upcoming NBC musical drama Smash.
The couple has been seeing each other for about six weeks, according to People. Like Messing, Chase, 41, is married but recently separated (from Broadway actress Stephanie Gibson). "It all happened very fast and it's a difficult situation," a Smash insider tells the magazine.
Messing, 43, and her TV producer husband Zelman, 44, separated earlier this year, though they only announced their split this month.
"The separation was entirely mutual," a rep said of Messing and Zelman, who met in graduate school at New York University. "They have been a couple for twenty years, and the nature of their relationship simply changed over time."
The estranged couple has continued to live together for the sake of their son, 7-year-old Roman. The rep said that they are "gradually transitioning" into a new living situation and "have no immediate plans for divorce." However, it seems like a new boyfriend could complicate matters a bit.
As for Chase, who's best known for his work on Broadway, he has two daughters of his own from a previous marriage. (He and his estranged wife were only married for two years.)
Sounds like there's plenty of potential drama in Debra Messing's life right now -- though considering that she's starring in a show about making Broadway musicals, maybe that's appropriate!
