Demi Lovato is being generous with her time. Just one year after checking into a treatment center herself, she returned to the place that helped her deal with her personal issues to bring some motivational words to the young women currently seeking treatment.
"Wow what an inspiring day... Many tears were shed and many memories were brought back at Timberline Knolls today," the singer and actress, 19, wrote in a series of Twitter posts about her Sunday visit.
Based in a Chicago suburb, Timberline Knolls is "a private residential treatment center [that] treats women" dealing with a variety of struggles, from eating disorders, drug addiction to mood disorders and trauma.
"Today I went back to the treatment center I went to last year, to speak to the beautiful women fighting their inner demons," Lovato twittered, adding: "was so honored."
She continued: "To be able to share my story and let them know that it gets easier. Life is beautiful.... You are worthy of it."
Lovato, who performed nearby Saturday night at Chicago's Rosemont Theatre, ended her Twitter report with a plea to her fans: "Please say a prayer for all of those struggling with eating disorders, self harm, mood disorders, and substance abuse."
