On Monday night, Demi Moore made her first official public appearance since hubby Ashton Kutcher's cheating scandal became tabloid fodder. The 48-year-old actress arrived solo to the New York City premiere of her new movie Margin Call, flaunting both her wedding band and a shockingly slim physique. But although she was all smiles for photographers, Moore completely skipped the red-carpet press line and bowed out of the festivities before the afterparty.
"Everyone was remarking how thin Demi was, more so than usual," an observer at the premiere tells Us Weekly. "She seemed in a decent mood though, even a little happy to be there."
Even so, it looks like Moore still isn't ready to discuss her 33-year-old husband's alleged tryst with 22-year-old San Diego resident Sara Leal. The famously Twitter-happy G.I. Jane star has been on radio silence ever since the story came out, and neither she nor her husband has made a public statement regarding the incident. (Demi did take to Twitter after the premiere, however, to send this message to the designer of the dress she wore: "Thank you @Zac_Posen for such a beautiful frock for the 'Margin Call' premiere!)
With rumors persisting that Moore may divorce Kutcher (photos of a moving truck parked outside the couple's Santa Monica, Calif., home late last week didn't help matters), it certainly is good to see that Moore is still wearing her wedding band. Maybe there's hope for these two yet.
