I never thought I'd see the day... Huggies came out with jean diapers this week. They're disposable yet look like dungarees. I'm speechless.
Do kids care to be trendy on the playground? Maybe. "Make a little fashion statement with Huggies Little Movers Jeans Diapers," say the advertisements. Maybe they're onto something here! I asked my super-fashionable mommy friend, May Walker, what she thinks, and she gives these trendy Huggies a thumbs up. "If they were around when my daughter was in diapers, I may have used them as little bloomers for under her dresses," she says. "Not too sure, however, if I would've used them on my son."
"This season, there seems to be a denim overload (for grown-ups) -- why not diapers for our little ones," says Iris Asuncion, mom and community editor for iVillage Beauty & Style. "While jeans are a great idea [for diapers], I would much rather have [a colorful] pattern similar to those Pucci scarves."
If you're interested in getting them for your little one, here's the scoop: They're $11.99 for a 21-pack at Shopping.com. They're available in stores and online for a limited time, so get 'em while they're hot??
