Denise Richards didn't need to get pregnant to add a third child to her family -- she adopted daugther Eloise Joni in June -- but that didn't stop the actress from having a baby shower to celebrate the new arrival.
On Sunday, the ex-Mrs. Charlie Sheen threw a star studded shower at Beverly Hills' Montage Hotel, with good friends like Tori Spelling, Lisa Rinna, Ali Landry and Mel B in attendance. Since Richards, 40, already has two daughters (Sam, 7 and Lola, 6) with Sheen, the theme of the shower was "Three's a charm!"
Richards adopted Eloise domestically in June, and the shower gave Denise the perfect opportunity to introduce her newest little one to her pals. "She's so excited. She's so in love with her new daughter," a source tells People. "This is a really special time for her. She can't wait to introduce her to her friends."
That excitement was apparent in Richards' tweet on Sunday: "So excited for Eloise's shower today...the fab @mindyweiss is planning everything! Gonna be amazing!!"
The shower decor was pink and black, a color scheme inspired by the popular Eloise children's books, and a cake topper featured a mini replica of Eloise and big sisters Sam and Lola. Guests at the soiree sipped champagne and presented Richards with gifts, including plush toys, clothes, blankets and a pink Stokke stroller.
And how do Sam and Lola, who helped name their new sibling, feel about Eloise Joni? An inside source says, "They love having a little baby sister. They have welcomed Eloise with open arms."
