After permanently damaging Charlie Sheen's reputation with accusations galore, Denise Richards is now taking swings at… David Spade.
Here's a little refresher in the Denise/Charlie/Heather Locklear/Richie Sambora/David Spade saga: Heather and Richie filed for divorce earlier this year, as did Charlie and Denise. Heather and Denise were very close friends. Now Heather is dating David, Denise is tonguing down Richie and Charlie is said to be dating a bunch of hookers. Whew!
Needless to say, the complicated situation is causing some drama for all parties involved.
After David cracked to a reporter over the weekend that Heather was "home nursing the knife wound in her back" – clearly referring to Denise's betrayal of her BFF – Denise's camp is making accusations about the funnyman to Page Six.
A source very close to Richards tattled to Page Six: "David is notorious for preying on married women like Heather Locklear and Rebecca Romijn and Krista Allen, who goes back and forth between David and George Clooney . . . And Heather was seeing David last year." (While we didn't want to interrupt our source, we should point out that Allen is not married.)By way of comparison, our Richards intimate insisted that the Wild Things actress only began dating Sambora in March, after both of their marriages had fallen apart…
As for Locklear, our source says that she and Richards "grew apart" before Richards took up with Sambora. "I think they just had very different interests," said our source cryptically. "Denise's focus is on her children right now."
David's spokesperson defended her client, saying: "These remarks are completely false and unfounded. It is unfortunate that anyone would feel the need to attack the character of someone who has done nothing wrong and isn't involved in this situation."
Meanwhile, In Touch suggests that Denise and Richie may have had something going on before he split with Heather.
