If It Ain't Baroque...

Delicate, detailed and with a dash of playfulness, French-inspired rococo design is showing up everywhere for spring -- we're seeing graceful, curved-scroll motifs on everything from duvet covers to doggy beds. Capable of brightening almost any room, our favorite rococo pieces are fresh updates of an old-fashioned decorative flourish, modern and timeless all at once.

The Parisian Wallpaper collection from Seattle-based boutique tabletop company Rosanna is a perfect example of this "everything old is new again" trend. Inspired by (you guessed it) antique French wallpaper patterns, the collection includes frosted-glass tumblers and coordinating stoneware dessert plates and mugs in two black and white patterns. Imagine an elegant tea party with a bit of an edge -- picture hats plus tattoos, sugar cubes followed by a bite of lemon, a little bit country and a little bit rock n' roll -- and you get the idea.
