Jonathan Adler, Hold Everything

From cozy-home expert Chris Madden to modern yet whimsical potter Jonathan Adler, celebrity designers are sharing their best decorating secrets with the mass market in a big way — affordable furniture, bedding and lighting collections for home and office are popping up at popular retailers across the country. Wondering what's hot and new? Here's what a few of our favorites designers are up to:

Famed potter turned textile creator turned furniture designer Jonathan Adler, whose company's manifesto claims "minimalism is a bummer," is making a small, yet colorful, mark on the minimal-leaning organizing store Hold Everything. Vivid needlepoint stockings and pink and green wine totes inspired by his self-professed obsession with "psychedelic Victoriana" help make up Adler's Christmas collection. Pink and chocolate heart-adorned needlepoint pillows, reminiscent of the signature pillows available in his Jonathan Adler stores, will hit Hold Everything just in time for Valentine's Day. "I hate anything for any holiday that is too cute and too expected, so I try to mix it up by taking traditional themes and patterns and then adding a totally modern twist," says Adler, whose first foray in mass-market retail is a welcome addition to Hold Everything's streamlined feel.

What you'll love: Adler's Love Needlepoint Pillow (far right) at Hold Everything (a steal at $28) looks just like his original designs on (a splurge at $165).
