This Sunday, season 6 of Desperate Housewives is going out with a bang -- but what exactly will blow up? As in past finales, simmering conflicts will finally boil over in this episode, and the year's central mystery will get resolved. In this year's case, two mysteries.
Mystery #1: Eco-terrorist-in-hiding, Angie Bolen (Drea de Matteo), will finally be found out, and she'll make a move to escape her past once and for all. We already know that de Matteo is leaving the show, but will she make it out alive? Back in March, Desperate creator, Marc Cherry told Entertainment Weekly that "all the mysterious parts of her past will be revealed…in an explosive finale." Hmmm, doesn't sound good for Angie.
Mystery #2: Now that we've found out who's been strangling young women in Fairview--lanky troubled teen, Eddie (Josh Zuckerman)--we'll discover how that whole murdering thing works out for him. Based on this clip, Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) isn't going to like it.
And if this campy, satirical drama is on its game, this season finale will include a cliffhanger, too. "In terms of our four or five main characters, we always look ahead to the season finale so we can have some big bombshell in the season finale that hopefully leads us into next season's arc for all the characters," exec producer Bob Daily told Entertainment Weekly. "We're already thinking of next season for all the women, because that season finale is a good platform for that."
Hopefully, it will involve something more interesting than Susan (Teri Hatcher) and Mike's (James Denton) money problems. I feel for them and everything, but I've got my own financial woes. I don't tune into Desperate Housewives to hear about theirs!
