Is The Bachelor so desperate to get married that he proposed to a woman just weeks before he left for the taping of the show?
Laurel Kagay, who says she had an eight-year on-and-off relationship with Brad Womack, claims that this season's Bachelor popped the question to her numerous times over the course of their courtship. Kagay, 31, says Womack even asked her to marry him last summer, right before he left to film his second go-round on the ABC dating show.
"Even when we weren't together, he would say how much he loved me and was going to marry me," Kagay told Us Weekly.
Womack's ex says Brad spent last summer trying to win her back, including pleading to her and her mom, vowing to "marry her right now." And, even after he left for California, the Austin resident reveals Womack continued to send her emails.
Kagay says she's heard that her former boyfriend has given out his final rose and is engaged to one of his suitors (insiders say it's Chantal O' Brien), and is just offering a heads up to the bride-to-be.
"I'm sure the girl he picked would want to know that he was proposing to another woman right before he started taping the show," Kagay said. "I would want to know."
