50 Cent may be tough on the outside, but sources say the rapper was devastated when his fling with Chelsea Handler came to an abrupt end.
The couple had been coy about their relationship from the start, claiming they were just friends at first, before Handler posted a photo of the two of them kissing in bed. But an insider tells UsMagazine.com, when the Chelsea Lately host ended their relationship just before the holidays, 50 was "heartbroken."
Determined to win her back, the 35-year-old rapper "spent Christmas sending her gifts, but she sent them back. She put a note on one that said, 'I can buy my own gifts.'"
Need more proof that Handler, 35, is not interested in rekindling the romance? Though both parties attended the Sundance Film Festival this past weekend, Handler was seen kissing and canoodling with hotelier Andre Balasz.
"Chelsea and Andre are dating," a friend of the comedienne said. "He's exactly her type."
