Meow! It sounds like Jessica Simpson may have been sharpening her claws just in time for her unplanned run-in with ex-husband Nick Lachey and his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. After Simpson and Lachey both showed up at the same restaurant on Oct. 21, witnesses say that Simpson had some not-so-nice words about the new woman in her ex's life.
"'I hope Vanessa likes her clothes because I bought them for her, since Nick took all my money," Simpson reportedly told her server.
Though Simpson was dining with her beau of the moment, Eric Johnson, and a bunch of others, sources say The Price of Beauty star was extremely irked about the meeting. Another witness said she "got really loud and started drinking margaritas and doing shots of tequila" to deal with her former spouse's presence.
"It was very weird and awkward," the source said.
But of course, the claims are all hearsay, and Simpson herself brushed off the incident. "He was at the same restaurant," she told USA Today after the incident. "I didn't speak to him."
