Maybe I'm superstitious, but I refused to even think about baby names the first six years my husband and I were married. We waited that long to have a baby, and for me, giving a name to something that didn't exist yet was putting the cart way before the horse. Once I got pregnant and was finished with the first trimester, I was finally ready to "make it real" and our name debate began.
But apparently Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have a completely different idea on the subject. They already have a boy's name picked out -- Luke Joseph -- and Khloe isn't even pregnant. And not only have they fantasized about the name, they've announced it to the world via USMagazine.com? Very bold, I might say!
But Khloe and Lamar aren't alone. I know plenty of girls who doodled baby names on their notebooks in ninth grade civics class or came up with the perfect first-and-middle combinations with boyfriends they never even married. One guy I know even had an idea of what his daughter's name would be a decade before she was actually born. Baby names are tough to choose (if you're having trouble, check out our BabyNamer tool), so I guess there's nothing wrong with taking more than nine months to think about them -- unless you're superstitious like me!
