Leave me out of it! That is erstwhile Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dina Manzo's basic message to those speculating that she's somehow caught in the middle of a brutal feud brewing between her older sister Caroline Manzo and fellow RHONJ castmember Teresa Giudice.
Dina, who left Real Housewives in the middle of season 2, took to Twitter on Thursday to clear the air. "eww getting some MEAN tweets," the 39-year-old wrote. "I didn't take sides, don't assume~didn't even know they were not getting along until recently~I'm not involved."
The relationship between Caroline, 50, and Teresa, 39, seemed to be in dire straits in the New Jersey season 3 finale, when Manzo learned that Giudice had made some insulting jokes at her expense in her new cookbook, Fabulicious! And things certainly haven't improved since, judging by a preview for the RHONJ reunion (the first part of which airs this Sunday, Oct. 16, at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo) that hit the Web earlier this week, showcasing an explosive verbal battle between the former pals.
In the clip, Caroline lashes out at Teresa for the cookbook insults, and blames Giudice for causing friction between the Manzo sisters. Though Dina insists that she's not feuding with anyone, the same can't be said for the other two women.
And that's just fine with Caroline. "We were never really friends," Caroline said of Giudice in a recent interview on The Gayle King Show. "She was an acquaintance. She was very good friends with my sister, Jacqueline (Laurita).... I think Jacqueline suffered the biggest blow here."
Laurita, who is the Caroline and Dina's sister-in-law, was initially close with Giudice -- but their friendship nosedived recently when Teresa accused Jacqueline of leaking photos of her husband having dinner with another woman. The two have been feuding ever since, with Laurita recently taking to Twitter to spell out her true feelings for Giudice: "Teresa is scum!"
Judging by the promo for this Sunday's New Jersey reunion, Jacqueline's not the only one with that opinion.
