DIY: Bouncy Wrapped Ponytail

Kate Bryan of thesmallthingsblog.com posted this pretty ponytail (it's actually two ponytails woven together!) on latest-hairstyles.com. We love the soft, touchable volume-and how the wrapped detail elevates a familiar style to date-night status.

DO IT YOURSELF!

Prep: Start with wavy or textured hair—stick-straight locks won’t have the volume needed for this look.

Style:

Step 1: Bring the top half of your hair into a ponytail, as if you’re creating a half-up style. Leave a few face framing pieces out and secure the ponytail with an elastic band.

Step 2: Grab a 1-inch section of hair from directly beneath the ponytail and section off for later.

Step 3: Create a second ponytail with the remaining bottom section of hair, bringing it up and around the original ponytail and securing with another elastic.

Step 4: Take the 1-inch section of hair that remains and wrap it around the ponytail. Secure with bobby pins.

Set: Spray your entire head with hairspray.
