Got an old cupcake or muffin tray you're thinking of throwing away? Upcycle it into our DIY snowman decoration! This craft is a fun and easy way to welcome winter this year and get into the holiday spirit.
iVillageWhat You'll Need:
-Old or new cupcake or muffin tray
-White paint primer
-Glitter, sequins and other decorations
STEP 1. Paint the tray with an even coat of paint primer and allow to dry. Using a smaller brush, paint the background of the tray a color of your choice using enamel paint.
STEP 2. Using white enamel paint, paint the cupcake holders white.
STEP 3. Before the paint dries, sprinkle each cupcake holder with fine white glitter and allow to dry completely.
STEP 4. Use orange paint to create the noses of each snowman - we made ours look like carrots and oranges. You can paint and glue wood shapes on for the nose. *Make sure the tray hole is at the top before you begin painting the faces!
STEP 5. Place a dot of glue where the eyes will go.
STEP 6. Carefully apply each googley eye until each snowman face is complete.
STEP 7. Apply any other decorations with glue or use paint pens to write slogans like Let It Snow on the background area of the tin.
STEP 8. Tie a ribbon through the hole at the top.
STEP 9. Hang and admire your craftiness!
