Framed Art with Light-Up Eyes

Difficulty level: Easy

Why we love it: This imaginative wall hanging from the Centsational Girl blog features pairs of illuminated eyes that greet your party guests or trick-or-treaters, and takes less than an hour (and very little money) to make.

What you’ll need: Thrift store frame, foam board, chalkboard paint, chalk, twinkle lights, hammer, nail

How to make it: Cut a foam board so it’s the same size as your frame, and then cover it with two coats of black chalkboard spray paint. Sketch trees (or any Halloween-inspired design) with chalk. Determine where you want to put your glowing eyes, and use a nail to pierce the board. Insert the tips of twinkle lights behind the canvas.
