Who doesn't love snowglobes?! Learn how to make your own with our easy DIY snowglobe craft project. Fill them with your fave family mementos or make them as gifts and personalize the scene inside so it's filled with things the recipient loves.
What You'll Need:
- Clear plastic or glass jars with lids
- Hot glue gun
- Mod Podge or other glue
- Clear and/or silver glitter
- Things for inside such as plastic or ceramic figurines, synthetic evergreen tree tips, foam cubes, etc.
- Ribbon
- Enamel paint
- Glycerin
- Distilled water
To make a scene like our Mystical Unicorn Forest:

STEP 1. Slice the foam cube so it is about 1" thick. Cut the corners off so that it fits inside the lid of your jar allowing room to screw the lid back on.

STEP 2. Use the hot glue gun to glue the foam to inside of the jar lid.

STEP 3. Apply a thick coat of Mod Podge to the foam and the inside of the lid that remains visible. Avoid applying glue into the grooves of the lid that screw back onto the jar.

STEP 4. Sprinkle fine glitter all over where you just applied the glue and allow to dry completely.

STEP 5. Secure the figurines using a hot glue gun. Use a generous amount of glue and press firmly until the glue has dried and set.

STEP 6. Finish building your scene and cover any visible hot glue drips with Mod Podge and glitter. Allow to dry completely.

STEP 7. Fill the jar almost to the top with distilled or purified water.

STEP 8. Add a dash of glycerin. Don't add too much or the glitter will stick to the bottom of the jar.

STEP 9. Sprinkle glitter into the mixture. We used both fine-grain and coarse-grain glitter.

STEP 10. Screw the lid back on tightly.

STEP 11. Shake and enjoy your snowy scene!
