Take stock of of the blessings in your life and put them on display with our DIY Thankful Tree craft project. It's the perfect activity to do with your family this fall!
What You'll Need:
- Leaf shape templates - download here
- Cardstock or contruction paper in fall leaf colors
- Hole punch
- Raffia twine, ribbon or yarn Long twig branches
- Tall Vase
iVillageSTEP 1. Download and print the leaf shapes template here. Use these as stencils and trace onto the cardstock. Then use the scissors to cut out all your paper leaves.
iVillageSTEP 2. Using the hole punch, make a hole near the stem side of each paper leaf.
iVillageSTEP 3. Write one thing you or your family members are thankful for on each leaf.
iVillageSTEP 4. Cut the raffia twine, ribbon or yarn into pieces that are about 6" - 7" long and tie onto each leaf.
iVillageSTEP 5. Pleace the branches into the tall vase. Tie each leaf to the branches.
iVillageSTEP 6. Continue to tie all the leaves on the branches until your 'tree' is full. Display your thankful tree somewhere you'll be able to see it everyday and be reminded of all the good things in your life!
