'Django Unchained' (Dec. 25)

Short Story:
Our protagonist, Django (Jamie Foxx), is a slave in the Deep South. His wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) has been taken away to work on a Mississippi plantation owned by the sinister-but-seductive Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio). But when Django is freed by bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), Django learns the tricks of the bounty hunting trade and plots how to save his wife and exact revenge on Candie.

What They're Saying:
"Ultimately, as funny and smart as Django is, it isn't quite as satisfying as Inglourious Basterds." -- People.com

Good for Kids?
If you know anything about director Quentin Tarantino, you'll know Django Unchained -- which Common Sense Media says looks "bloody and intense" -- isn't a kid's movie. The film has a well-deserved R-rating for strong graphic violence, language and nudity throughout.
