Uses: Reduces risk of infection and prevents bandages from sticking to a healing wound

Triple antibiotic creams (bacitracin zinc, neomycin, polymyxin B sulfates) are fine for most people. “But some people have skin reactions to the neomycin,” says Charles Pattavina, M.D., chief of emergency medicine at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, Maine. “If [your skin gets irritated], stick with a cream that contains only bacitracin.”
