Does every woman want a makeover? Some women jump at the chance and some women get offended. Do you? (And why?)
Makeovers are not as superficial as you might think. They will require you to seriously take a look at yourself. You see it all the time on the Reality TV shows. Women come to me daily wanting help with their style. Of course it always starts with a new bra…but that’s another topic!
A makeover doesn’t mean totally changing your personal style. It wouldn’t make you feel uncomfortable. It shouldn’t make you feel that the look is not you--just you enhanced! It’s like having a silver platter--it gets tarnished over the years--and needs a good polish every now and again. Sometimes life just gets in the way.
Do you use a makeover as a crutch? For every heart break, for every disappointment, or when things just don’t go your way, do you take it out on your look? A drastic new haircut or color--or a new dress that is a bit too sexy for your age?
When getting a makeover make sure it is voluntary. It should be because you want a change not because someone wants you to change. Most of all don’t self medicate using a makeover as an anti-depressant! You shouldn’t make fashion decisions in grief!
