The show's ninth season kicked off with the deaths of beloved docs Lexie and Mark ("McSteamy"), and the drama hasn't slowed down a bit since that devastating season eight finale plane crash. Change continues to be afoot for all, including the surgical attendings, who now have teaching interns of their own and are performing their own surgeries. The plane crash also put the hospital's docs in the position of suing their employer, while Arizona lost a leg, brilliant surgeon McDreamy briefly lost the ability to operate and supercouple Mer/Der found out she was pregnant.
