Ashlee Simpson sure knows how to confuse the media. Just months after being photographed holding hands with her estranged husband, 32-year-old Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz, Simpson, 26, seems to have gone and landed herself a new man. According to People, Ashlee was spotted in New York City on June 15, strolling arm-in-arm with Boardwalk Empire star Vincent Piazza, even sharing kisses with the actor in plain view of the paparazzi.
Could the relationship be serious? The two look pretty cozy, for sure. But just two months ago Simpson and Wentz seemed just as intimate, holding hands while on a family outing with 2-year-old son Bronx. In fact, Simpson and Wentz seemed so affectionate that rumors swirled that the two might be reconciling. Looks like that's no longer the case.
Though reps for Simpson and Piazza have declined to comment on the relationship, this is the first time Simpson has gone public with a new man since announcing her split from Wentz in February. Tabloids had linked Simpson to Wentz's rocker pal Craig Owens soon after the break-up, but those romance rumors turned out to be unfounded.
Wentz, meanwhile, has been keeping a low profile since the last time he was spotted out with Ashlee -- and, as far as we know, is not dating anyone from Boardwalk Empire.
