Considering she's dropped 60 pounds since giving birth to baby Maxwell in May, you'd think Jessica Simpson would be a shining star in the eyes of Weight Watchers. However, it appears that her contract as a spokeswoman may now be in jeopardy... because she might have a second baby on the way!
Simpson's rumored pregnancy was first reported last week by Us Weekly. "It definitely wasn't planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again," said the magazine's source. The 32-year-old singer's publicist is refusing to comment on the state of her uterus -- but, nonetheless, the pregnancy rumor has continued to pick up steam.
So now the burning question is: If Jessica is pregnant, what happens to her $4 million Weight Watchers deal? Us Weekly has reported that the weight loss company is "furious" about the situation. "She was already on thin ice with them since she didn't lose enough for the first ad, when they had to shoot from the waist up," the source adds, referencing Simpson's controversial first promo. (Watch it below!)
The Us source also claims that Weight Watchers is considering pulling Simpson's second campaign -- which was meant to celebrate a 70-pound weight loss. "No one wants to hear about a pregnant woman dieting," says their insider.
Meanwhile, the folks at E! News did some homework and found out that most weight-loss contracts have a "pregnancy clause" in them. The likely outcome? Jessica's Weight Watchers campaign (and the rest of her money) will be held back until after baby No. 2.
That is, if she's actually pregnant!
