Just like the rest of us, babies can be dressed up or dressed down, but they really like to be dressed comfortably. When we first became parents, we had no idea what clothes our baby should wear. The nurses at the hospital gave us a good piece of advice: if it's a hot day and you would wear a T-shirt, then your baby can, too. Basically, your baby doesn't need more clothing than you do. With that said, let's get started.
First, if someone offers to throw you a baby shower, then don't spend lots of money on your unborn tot — let the people who love you do so instead. We were given some beautiful things by friends and family: warm sweaters, little moccasin booties, and cool striped scarves. Yet even with the generosity of friends and family, you will need to do a bit of supplementing and you will inevitably want to buy your baby clothing that meets your specific tastes and needs.
