A petite woman will have a totally different appearance depending on whether the top half or the lower half of her body is longer. Depending on which type you are should affect your wardrobe choices. When choosing jackets, for instance, "if you're longer on the bottom, your jacket should be longer to create balance," says Paula Dabney, an image coach and owner of Image Will Impact, which offers training on personal style and related image issues. "If you have short legs, then you want to wear a short jacket [see photo] to elongate the legs."
