Humor + Humility = Drew Barrymore

Accepting her Globe for best actress in a TV movie or mini-series, Drew Barrymore (who won for her role as Edith "Little Edie" Beale in HBO's Grey Gardens) breathlessly expressed a wish that she could be as eloquent about her gratitude as Mo'Nique had been earlier. Barrymore then hilariously pointed out that her career might easily have led to roles like "Jeff Spicoli's girlfriend" (referring to '80s hit movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High) if so many industry insiders in the ballroom hadn't cared about taking the former wild child seriously as an actress.
