chime in nowIf you have overactive bladder, you may be tempted to drink less than you really should, in hopes of keeping bathroom trips to minimum. But in fact, too little fluid will have the opposite effect: It will cause your urine to become concentrated, which in turn will irritate your bladder -- and that may lead you to need to urinate more often. Plus, it’s vital to stay hydrated, especially in hot or humid weather and/or when you’re exercising. To make sure you’re drinking enough, note the color of your urine; if it’s dark and/or you’re constantly thirsty, you need to drink more. Just as important, you should make smart beverage choices.
