There's a whole lot of celebrating going on at the Duggar home, as 18 Kids and Counting's Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, have been blessed with their very first grandchild!
Mackynzie Renée Duggar was born to parents Josh and Anna, at their home, with a midwife and doula in attendance. She weighed in at 8 lbs and was 19 ½ inches.
"Josh was excited to participate in the birth as well," says a family friend. "They are both so happy.
Josh is Jim Bob and Michelle's first born, so he was along for the ride as his mom and dad brought 17 babies home as he was growing up. We're pretty sure this boy has changed a diaper or two in his time. And, if having 17 aunts and uncles aren't enough for his new little girl, Mackynzie will soon have an 18th fairly close to her age, as Josh's parents are expecting their 19th child this spring!
You can experience all the joy of Mackynzie's birth right along with the Duggars, as this momentous occasion will be featured on TLC's 18 Kids and Counting special First Grandduggar, airing Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m.
