Another One?!? The Population Growth of the Duggars by the Numbers

The Duggars' oldest son, Josh and his wife Anna, are expecting their third child. At this rate, how many offsprings can we expect from the Duggars' clan?

What the world needs now: More Duggars! People reported this morning that the reproductive power players will add a new member to their exponentially-growing clan. The oldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Josh and his wife Anna said they are expecting their third child and are excited for their 3-year-old and 21-month-old to have a new sibling. Because that's what they do, those Duggars. They make babies.

Jim Bob and Michelle have 19 children of their own so far, hence their reality show 19 Kids and Counting. Like all grandparents, the elder Duggars must be thrilled, but have they really run the numbers? If their progeny follow the family tradition, the result could be more than 300 grandchildren and nearly 7,000 potential great-grandchildren. Overpopulation much? The Duggars are not sustainable. Al Gore might have to write another book.

More importantly, how is a grandparent supposed to remember all those names? Maybe that's the real reason Jim Bob and Michelle chose names that all start with the letter J. And the Duggars 2.0 are following suit. Already parents to Mackynzie and Michael, Josh and Anna are planning to choose another "M" name for baby number three. Maybe the trend in honor of Michelle?
