Transform a can of sweetened condensed milk into a caramel sauce so mouthwatering that you'll be tempted to drizzle it over just about everything. If you don't have a double boiler, use a metal bowl on top of a pot of simmering water and cover it with a lid from another pot.

Empty the can of condensed milk into the top of double boiler. Cook, covered, over medium-low heat for 55 to 65 minutes, stirring occasionally, until milk is thickened and caramel in color. Remove from heat and whisk until smooth. Let cool slightly before spooning over your favorite ice cream flavor.
