DWTS' Misty Mae-Treanor Undergoes Surgery

Misty Mae Treanor is taking a load off, after having surgery on her Achilles tendon, which she injured while practicing for her stint on Dancing with the Stars.

"Thanks for all your concern and well wishes for Misty," the volleyball champ's rep told Usmagazine.com. "I wanted to let you all know Misty had a successful surgery on her ruptured Achilles this morning. She is currently at home recovering. Her husband, Matt, is with her."

Misty appeared on Monday night's show to explain what had happened, and to announce her withdrawal from the competition.

"I heard a pop," she told the crowd. "I was doing the Lindy Hop. I thought I flew out of control and hit the judges' stairs, or it felt like I got hit in the back with a baseball bat. Then, I just couldn't put weight on it."

Hopefully Misty will recover quickly and have no permanent damage. She had recently said that she was looking to take some time off in the next few months anyway, to possibly start a family, so maybe this all happened for a good reason.

Get well soon, Misty!
