'DWTS': 6 Celebs We'd Love to See Cha Cha Into Season 16

Could Dina Lohan and LeAnn Rimes be the competition's next dancing queens?

Dancing With the Stars fans need to rise and shine on February 26: That's when the latest group of contestants will be revealed on Good Morning America (ABC, weekdays, 7 a.m. ET)! Who will take the stage when ABC's beloved dance competition kicks off Season 16 on March 18? As always, rumors abound! Loose industry lips have suggested the lineup may feature some of the following celebrities. We rate their prospects.

Daughter Lindsay has made it clear that she has better things to do with her time than appear on the reality competition. But Dina told Extra's Mario Lopez that she's up for a spin around the dance floor. Factoring in her background as a former dancer, the 50-year-old momager could surprise people with her footwork. Weirdly, she even wants to be paired with the notoriously hot-headed pro, Maks. That duo would certainly get tongues wagging, since people love to hate both of them!

Snooki's best friend (and the second-most-famous meatball on TV) has been lobbying for a spot in the competition. How would this 26-year-old Jersey Shore diva fare under the network TV spotlight? "I’ve been dancing for a really long time," she told Wetpaint. "I think I could go really far on the show." Yeah, but Deena, this dancing is different than drunk grinding at Karma. You get that, right?

Emily Maynard

Rumor has it that Maynard, 27, sewed up her DWTS contract the day she signed on to be the The Bachelorette. Cynical critics may have accused her of seeking TV fame any way she could get it. But that has no bearing on whether Maynard could actually win DWTS. And based on this video of her teaching Jef Holm her "running man" dance move, she might have some promise!

Rumor also has it that Ortiz is in.
If you're not into boxing or men's moisturizers, you might not be familiar with this 26-year-old athlete. But Ortiz has just the right body for the shirtless costumes of DWTS, as you can see by his commercial for Vo by Facelube

Honey Boo Boo
's mama just lost 100 pounds, y'all! Was she slimming down for DWTS? One of the Daily News' sources thinks so! Sure, Maks says she's not welcome, but hey, Maks is not in charge. And people love all things Honey Boo Boo! As for her chances at winning, we're not so optimistic.

LeAnn Rimes

Though Rimes would have no problem slipping into the teeny-tiny costumes in this contest, she has turned producers down three times already. But the 30-year-old country singer has expressed interest when the time is right. After all, she has a connection to the competition: Lacey Schwimmer's brother Benji is a friend who has choreographed Rimes' shows. "I would love to ... it just hasn't happened," she once told Access Hollywood. "But maybe one day." Could that day arrive this season? If so, we think she could go all the way to Mirror Ball victory!
