Easter Egg Maracas

While these maracas may not be music to every parent's ears, kids will love playing with the colorful handmade instruments. Bonus: There's practically no clean-up with this craft!

Blogger behind the idea: Kiwi Crate

Best for kids ages: 4 and up

What you’ll need: Plastic eggs, plastic spoons, washi tape or colored tape, rice

How to make it: First have the kids fill plastic eggs with rice (eggs should be about half-full, in general, but you can add different amounts of rice and show them how the sound will change!). Next, place the egg between two plastic spoons and secure with tape. Add strips of tape across the top then finish wrapping the tape around the rest of the egg and down the spoon handles to fully cover it. Time to rock out!
