DAYLILY, 'STELLA DE ORO'

 SUN: EASE: SOIL MOISTURE:

"I planted this lily in several locations of my garden and I plan on adding two other colors -- pink and red -- as well. I have so many compliments from friends and family, who after seeing my lilies decided to plant their own!"

--iVillager ts2owat

Latin name: Hemerocallis
Unlike standard daylily varieties, 'Stella de Oro' was the first daylily that blooms from spring to fall. Stella, a petite, orange-yellow overachiever, makes an excellent edging plant. Occasionally, this evergreen variety will rest for a short period during the season. The trumpetlike flowers are 2.5 inches wide. This is one of the most popular varieties of daylilies -- with good reason.
